Community / Charity

We actively support community programmes including training and development initiatives, education projects and local and national charities.

In addition to traditional full time apprenticeships, each year we offer a number of school placements.

Snow Camp

Since 2018 we have been involved with Snow Camp, a charity that engages young people through skiing and snowboarding to provide life skills training and mental health support, while enabling them to gain qualifications and employment in the Snowsports industry and beyond.

We have now sponsored 8 teenagers who have all been on a journey from rarely having left their inner city environment to completing the full Snow Camp training course.

Typically, the young people who are supported in this way then stay actively involved as volunteers in snow camps Youth Forum, or go on to apply to become one of their 5 snow sports apprentices each year.

Ukrainian Host

With the dreadful events in Ukraine, Paul took in a Ukranian family in July 2022 consisting of grandmother, mother and daughter. They have all settled in to life well here with the daughter doing well at a local school and the grandmother teaching Ukrainian at a Saturday school. . The mother got engaged to a local man from Welwyn in November 2024 who has twins the same age as her daughter. She moved into his house the next month and they got married in May 2025.
