We have developed extensive skills and experience in the fields of new build and refurbishments, with many projects being undertaken on occupied sites. Our ability to co-ordinate with stakeholders such as end-users/residents has ensured that we regularly receive recommendations from satisfied customers.
Our core team is supported by a long term established workforce and a core of supply chain members, all of whom have repeatedly demonstrated their skills and commitment to Newland Construction.
The realisation that construction is about more than just building things means that the firm now offers a service and a depth of skills to its clients that would make its founding fathers proud. We recognise that partnering and collaborative working initiatives fit closely with our own business ideals. We have employed a Management Consultant and Collaborative Working Specialist, Value By Design to assist with the development of our business processes and staff training.
As part of our commitment to the local community we have always invested heavily in apprenticeships and have a long term strategy of working with Oaklands & Turnford Building Colleges and Hertfordshire Careers Service. As a result of these relationships we regularly take placements from 16 year olds and upwards.
As a family business we have always been keen to develop social inclusion. As a result of this, over 90% of our supply chain is based within the local area. We feel that engaging with the community in this way creates a high level of cohesion and involvement; local projects are often completed by entirely local staff, labourers and suppliers.
