Following on from our successful external refurbishment project, we were awarded a further contract for the internal refurbishment of the building. The project initially included for a complete upgrade of the Mechanical & Electrical elements, but unfortunately, the tender was over budget. We reworked the M & E scheme to provide significant savings allowing the works to go ahead.
We also sourced the most economical solution to the Warehouse flooring following removal of an existing raised floor system; we uncovered an old Granwood floor. Instead of screeding and laying vinyl, we sanded back the old floor and applied 2 coats of polish. Instead of replacing the toilet cubicles, we used a vinyl wrap to the existing ones which resulted in substantial savings as well as presenting as a new image. In summary, we worked closely with the charity to bring home a quality project with savings that had not been identified when
